Swimming

Wadden Sea’s many options

Esbjerg is part of Denmark’s largest national park – the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Sea is a unique nature reserve full of life and opportunities for fun experiences for children and adults.

A tour in the Wadden Sea can offer a seal safari or oyster tour. Would you like to explore the area on your own? Children of all ages can take a closer look at the seabed, the water and the abundant wildlife.

Cycling with the family

The beautiful nature in and around Esbjerg is ideal for cycling experiences for the whole family. The flat landscape along the west coast is suitable for bike rides with the family, without fear of exhausting mountain stages.

As part of the Wadden Sea National Park, a bike ride offers unique nature experiences along the evolving Wadden Sea. If you prefer the west coast’s windswept beaches, it takes only 12 minutes to Fanø by ferry. In Fanø, you can cycle in the firm sand on the beach while enjoying the fresh air and the North Sea’s waves.

You also have the opportunity to experience history by taking on a bike ride around Ribe.
